Financial Planning Done Differently

  • Know your numbers, but trust your gut.
  • Don't leave money on the table (to taxes, fees, or anything that doesn't bring you joy)
  • Like a business plan, a personal financial plan will never be 'correct'. Have one anyway.
  • Life is short. Don't wait on your dreams.
  • Simplicity brings clarity, which brings results.

In the very beginning of our process, an entire meeting is dedicated to getting to know you and helping you identify your core values and vision.

In order to know which direction to take, we first need to know where we’re going. And that is entirely up to you.

Because our financial planning fees are based on your unique needs (not how much money you have) I'm able to work with you regardless of whether we manage your money directly or not.

I put in the same amount of work, and provide the same amount of value, for each and every client–regardless of the number on their bank statements.

I'm Julia Colantuono,

and I'm on a mission to put financial power back where it belongsin the hands of the business owner.

Financial Planning for the Whole Human – Not Just the CEO

I live in Hingham, MA with my wonderful husband Nick (who also happens to be a CFP®), and two adorable children, Laura and Jordan. Financial decisions are rarely black and white. We’ve had to be proactive about getting on the same page financially, which has required several hard conversations and compromises (and has also paid off immensely).

We always come back to our mission of being intentional with our money, and putting the right systems in place to support what matters most to us.

I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor™, and the Founder of One Financial Design.

After working in wealth management for over a decade at some of the most respected financial institutions (JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, and Ameriprise Financial), I noticed the traditional financial advisor’s business model was not designed to serve today’s business owners. So I opened my own business so that I could do it my way – can you relate?

  • I’m a classic introvert (my favorite activity is reading in a cozy coffee shop).
  • My happy place is Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard (or any part of the Cape & Islands).
  • I was homeschooled and grew up on a rural farm.
  • My favorite books are Atomic Habits, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.
  • I meditate and journal almost daily.
  • My love language is gift giving (I will find any excuse to put together a fun gift box for someone)
  • I have become an increasingly spiritual person, and believe in the divine magic of the universe.
  • My biggest financial inspiration is my “Pappou” (Greek grandfather), who taught me by example what it means to live the American Dream.

Whether you’re looking for a long-term financial partner or just want to be pointed in the right direction, we can help.

When you direct your time, money, and energy intentionally,

the sky's the limit.
